Baby Milk Formula

Is a probiotic formula something you should think about in relieving baby colic? Maybe. Research shows that milk-based formula with supplemental probiotics worked wonderfully for lowering colic outbursts in little ones. But more about that later. First, you may be curious as to exactly what probiotic means. Probiotics...what are they?
The body consists of numerous bacteria along with other microorganisms. As you may know, a number of bacteria can be harmful and trigger disease and infection. However, quite a few bacteria are advantageous and vital to help your body work effectively.

Baby AllergiesEnfamil LIPIL – The company claims that this formula is the closest thing to a mother's breast milk. It's easy to digest and has been proven in tests to improve the IQ scores and provide similar results to breast feeding.Enfamil LactoFree LIPIL – This milk based formula is lactose free for those babies who have had problems with other milk based products. This formula is also sucrose-free and includes LIPIL, which is a blend of ARA and DHA which are nutrients found in breast milk.

Starting solid foods wills also need to be supplemented with milk or formula (preferably a raw milk formula). You don't want to drastically make the switch to solids, but gradually work your way to only feeding your baby solid foods. It is best to start at feed your baby once a day with foods that are easy to digest for one meal, and have them bottle feed or nurse the rest of the day. Some good first foods are organic, soft boiled egg yolk from pastured hens, banana, avocado, papaya or mango. Feeding grains at this young age could lead to grain allergies as they get older. As they reach 10 months you can start incorporating more fruits, vegetables, and meats into their diet.

For storing in the refrigerator, invert the nipples in the bottle. (Handle the nipples by the rims only.) At the same time make up two 4-ounce (120ml) bottles with plain, boiled water.

The best Avent baby warmer is a great way to heat both breast and formula milk and it means that there is no loss of nutrients or anti-infective properties. Breast milk tends to be very sensitive to warm environments and can therefore easily lose its Vitamin C. It is also not a very good idea to heat breast milk on the stove as this causes a central spike in the temperature, which causes the milk to break apart and lose important nutrients for the baby.

Coping with a new baby is a huge responsibility that you may find overwhelming at times but you know you can do it. It may be hard in the beginning but you get through this time the way you manage to get through every other difficult time life's thrown at you.In the early weeks you learn a hell of a lot of new things when coping with a newborn infant even if you've already had other children, if there's a big age gap then you forget a lot because it's been so long and having a new baby home again becomes another learning curve. Life's difficulty's and sleepless nights begin now.

Baby has sinus drainage, any ideas how to help this?
We have noticed that our baby has drainage going down her throat. We can see her swallowing this gunk (because we adults go through this too). She has no cold, but I guess this could be from allergies? Is there anything to do to help this without medication? It disrupts her sleep at times. She has a pedi appt. next week, and don't want to call for this, as it is not an emergency. Is there such thing as baby allergy medication?
